JACKSON, Wyo. — Story slams are back this summer by popular demand!

Hosted by the Teton County Library, participants throw their names into a bucket for the chance to tell true, personal, five-minute stories relating the theme. A panel of judges awards prizes to their top three storytellers.

Attendees can bring camp chairs, blankets and most importantly, stories, to two outdoor storytelling competitions, known as Cabin Fever Story Slams.

Story Slams will take place on the following dates:

When: Tuesday, July 26, 7 p.m.

Where: Mike Yokel Park

Theme: Connection

When: Tuesday, Aug. 16, 7 p.m.

Where: Center for the Arts Amphitheater

Theme: TBD

No story to tell? Audience members can participate by contributing themed mad libs that emcee Jeff Moran reads aloud between stories.

Stay tuned to the library website for information about the winter story slam series.
