SUBLETTE COUNTY, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Health today confirmed the first COVID-19 patient in Sublette County. That brings the state total to 82 as of Saturday morning.
The patient is a 59-year-old female living in Pinedale. She has been contacted by public health officials and remains in her home in isolation with mild symptoms. Wyoming Department of Health staff and Sublette County Health Officer Doctor Brendan Fitsimmons notified the patient of the positive test results.
Sublette County Public Health will continue contact with the patient to review isolation requirements, discharge pertinent information from the local County Health Officer, as well as connect the patient with needed services.
Across the state, more than 400 Fremont County residents with flu-like symptoms are sheltering at home while awaiting test results. Fremont leads all counties with 20 coronavirus cases confirmed.
Sheridan news media reported two new cases but a full recovery of the state’s first COVID-19 patients. WDH says 18 Wyoming COVID patients have recovered so far.
