It involved a single tractor trailer found on its side in a barrow ditch on Jonah North Road (about 10 miles in from Highway 351) with the driver pinned inside the cab of the truck.
Units from SCUF performed an extensive extrication to free the driver. The condition of the driver is unknown at this time.
From the Bureau of Labor Statistics: There were 1,268 heavy trucks involved in accidents in the State of Wyoming last year resulting in 238 injuries and 17 fatalities.
SCUF passed along words from the Wyoming Highway Safety Program: “Ultimately, individual driver awareness is the key to preventing crashes. Drivers and passengers alike should always remember to buckle up, observe posted speed limits and other traffic laws, and never drive when impaired by drugs, alcohol or fatigue.”
