Structure fire torches barn

SUBLETTE COUNTY, WY — A structure fire destroyed a storage barn and damaged two other buildings in the Green River Ranch Subdivision Monday might.

Sublette County United Fire responded to a call about a barn on fire at 7:28 p.m. Monday. Multiple battalions arrived to 28 Cornstalk PL and saw flames showing from at least one structure.

Responders extinguished the fire, which was concentrated in one building but still did some damage to two other buildings in close proximity. The storage barn that was on fire is considered a “total loss,” according to a press release from Sublette County United Fire. Another barn and what appears to be a small bunkhouse both suffered minor damage. All buildings were unoccupied.

No responders were injured. The origin and cause of the fire are still under investigation.
