JACKSON HOLE, WYO – For those looking for a Christmas tree late in the game, options are getting slim. Local outlets have sold out but with a little effort your Tannenbaum can still be had.

For a drive, Broulims in Driggs still has 15 trees available as this story posts.

The Forest Service also has $15 permits available for those wishing to cut their own tree from the Bridger-Teton NF. Recommended stands to choose from for the adventurous are those fir trees crowding out aspens in the Shadow Mountain area, or in Buffalo Valley, Togwotee, and in the Hoback Canyon.

Permits are available at the Jackson District Office of the Bridger-Teton. You will be provided a map of where is legal to cut down a tree.
