JACKSON, Wyo. — This December, something enchanting is coming to The Center Theater…

Dancers’ Workshop is thrilled to present their Winter Production, one of Jackson’s beloved holiday traditions. This year’s performance is If the Shoe Fits – a whimsical twist on a classic fairy tale, told through movement. The show will run December 12 to 14, featuring over 100 youth dancers from The School at Dancers’ Workshop, alongside professional artists from Contemporary Dance Wyoming.

Each fall, students from ages 8 to 18 years rehearse to prepare for this fully produced performance. Under the direction of Eric Midgley, Michaela Ellingson, Bailey Walker and Artistic Director Babs Case, the production highlights not only technical skills, but creativity, teamwork, and passion for storytelling through dance.

“Each year, our Winter Production brings students and professional artists together to create something truly special,” says Eric Midgley, Director of The School. “It’s about collaboration, creativity, and the joy of seeing our students grow as dancers and as people.”

“The Winter Production gives students the chance to tell a story on stage… one that’s fun and full of meaning,” adds Michaela Ellingson, Junior Repertory Company Director and Contemporary Dance Wyoming company member. “If the Shoe Fits celebrates imagination and the courage to express yourself, qualities that shine both on stage and beyond it.”

Each year, the Dancers’ Workshop’s Winter Production costs around $100,000 to produce, including theater rental, lighting, sets, and costumes. Thanks to the generosity of donors, DW is able to offer these opportunities for young artists to learn, perform, and grow. If you appreciate the annual Winter Production – where the arts bring families and community together – consider supporting Dancers’ Workshop with a year-end gift. Your contribution helps keep this cherished Jackson tradition alive and ensures every child has the chance to discover the joy of dance. Because when we come together through movement, imagination, and generosity, that’s when the magic truly happens!
