JACKSON HOLE, WYO – START Bus recently launched a new website with improved accessibility and functionality. With this new web platform, bus riders will be able to sign up for important alert emails and text messages, view START Board agendas and minutes, report issues, and notify START of items that were lost or found on buses.
On the newly revamped website, users are able to easily sign up for important START Rider Alerts. These alerts will immediately notify riders if a bus stop or road is closed, or if specific routes are impacted due to construction, weather conditions or other factors. Check out the step-by-step instructions for signing up for these alerts—click on the Rider Alerts icon.
“The new website design is cleaner, better organized and geared toward enabling customers to quickly identify the information they need,” said Darren Brugmann, START Bus Director. “It is a vast improvement over the previous START Bus website and many of the updates were prompted by requests from our community members.”
Another improved feature of the new website is the Agenda and Minutes function. This tool will allow users to access the agendas for upcoming START Board meetings as well as view archived agendas and minutes from previous START Board meetings.
Apple Maps now includes START transit routes
In other techy news, Apple recently updated its Maps app to include transit directions and data for areas in Alaska, Wyoming, and Idaho. Apple Maps users in select cities in these states can now select public transportation routes when getting directions between two locations.
In Wyoming, transit options are available in areas that include Cheyenne and Jackson. In Idaho, transit data is available in Victor. According to MacRumors.com, transit information appears to still be rolling out in these three states and could expand to additional cities over the course of the next few weeks.
Apple has not yet added Wyoming, Alaska, and Idaho to the website where it lists locations where transit directions are available, but it should be added in the near future.
