JACKSON, Wyo. — The Southeast Teton Area Rapid Transit (START) has added two new on-demand services to its existing microtransit operations.
Starting Thursday, Dec. 1, locals will be able to use START’s on-demand services from East Jackson to Albertsons, as well as a new South Town pilot program that encompasses Melody Ranch, Rafter J and South Park. START’s On-Demand Microtransit operations launched last year and the two areas of expansion will address needs that the community has expressed: East Jackson access to grocery options and service in the South Jackson neighborhoods.

Trips to and from Albertsons from the existing East Jackson zone will be available every day during the service hours of 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Service hours for the East Jackson on-demand service zone will continue to be 6 a.m. to midnight during winter and summer seasons, with Spring and Fall Season hours, staying at 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The new South Microtransit program will offer service every day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and connects the South Park, Rafter J and Melody Ranch neighborhoods to the bus stop at Smith’s. Riders in these neighborhoods will be able to request rides to and from the Smith’s bus stop at Eagle Village Shopping Center to the Town Shuttle and Teton Village South fixed routes.
