JACKSON, Wyo. – The St. John’s Health Foundation has announced several staff updates, including promotions, job title changes and a new hire. The Foundation welcomed Sheldon Perkins to its team and promoted both Claire O’Connell and Katie Long.
“We are excited to welcome Sheldon to our team and look forward to the positive impact she will bring to the Foundation and St. John’s Health,” said St. John’s Health Foundation President John Goettler. “Both Katie and Claire have been excellent contributors to the work here at the Foundation and I’m thrilled to give them the chance to advance their set of skills and experience in their new roles.”
“Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Foundation staff has gone far beyond the scope of their normal work to support the physical and mental health of the hospital staff as well as the community at large,” said Bob Pisano, St. John’s Health Foundation Board Chair. “On behalf of the board, I am thrilled to welcome Sheldon and congratulate both Katie and Claire.”
Sheldon Perkins has been named Director of Development and Stewardship. Perkins will work closely with donors and community members to increase donor engagement.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Perkins served as the Assistant Director of the Annual Fund at Choate Rosemary Hall, an independent boarding school in Wallingford, CT. Originally from Jackson, Perkins holds a M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication from Marist College and a B.A. in Sociology, Film and Media Studies from Colgate University.
Claire O’Connell, former Marketing Manager at St. John’s Health Foundation, has been promoted to Director of Marketing. O’Connell will oversee the Foundation’s communication and marketing initiatives and special event portfolio.
O’Connell joined the St. John’s Health Foundation in 2019. Prior to joining the Foundation, she served as Operations Manager for Zoobean, a Mark Cuban Company in Washington, D.C. Originally from Bethesda, Md., O’Connell holds a B.B.A. in International Business from George Washington University.
Katie Long, former Director of Annual Giving and Database at St. John’s Health Foundation, has been promoted to Director of Operations. Long will oversee general operations, programs, patient funds and finances.
Long joined the St. John’s Health Foundation in 2009. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked in hospitality, conference planning and banking. Originally from Boulder, Mont., Long holds a B.A. in Health and Human Services from Montana State University.
