JACKSON, Wyo. — The St. John’s Health Board of Trustees appointed Evan Jones as Trustee today, Jan. 26.
Jones fills the vacancy created by the unexpected passing of Trustee Lou Hochheiser, MD.
“St. John’s Health and the entire community will benefit greatly from Evan’s deep knowledge and experience,” said Board Chair Katharine Conover-Keller.
“Evan has demonstrated his passion for serving St. John’s Health in numerous ways, including his hard work on committees and leading important initiatives,” said Conover-Keller. During his interview for the appointment, Jones said that he would make it a priority to carry forward some of the priorities upon which Dr. Lou Hochheiser successfully campaigned for Trustee, particularly mental health and senior care.
Evan Jones has over 30 years of senior management and investment experience in the life sciences and healthcare industry. He founded or helped start a number of companies and has extensive board leadership of hospitals and health advocacy organizations.
Jones joined St. John’s Health as a Board Advisor in January 2022. He was Co-Chair of the St. John’s Health CEO Search Committee that recruited current CEO Jeff Sollis. He was named as a Trustee in May 2022, served as Vice Chair, and ran in the 2022 General Election, where he received 2,400 votes. His term will run until the next Trustee general election in November 2024.
