JACKSON, Wyo. — Who’s in the mood for a little spring cleaning?

Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling encourages the community to tidy yards, clean up neighborhoods and reduce landfill contributions through the following free programs.

Spring Clean Up Week officially kicks off on Monday, May 5, with a precursor perk beginning on Thursday, May 1. Free compostable brown bags will be available for pickup at Jackson Town Hall and at the Public Works Administration office (450 W. Snow King Ave) starting Thursday, available until supplies run out.

Next up: Free residential yard waste drop-off events will run from Monday, May 5 through Saturday, May 10. Residents can dispose of grass clippings, leaves, garden trimmings and other compostable yard waste for free. All collected materials will be composted locally, according to event organizers, “turning organic waste into nutrient-rich compost products,” the press release reads. Commercial loads are not eligible.
