Now in its 20th year, the program celebrates two decades of young people helping build and maintain trails millions of visitors rely on each year. Supported by Grand Teton National Park Foundation, the program invests in the next generation, giving participants the chance to learn new skills, explore conservation career paths and steward the park for the future.

The application deadline is Friday, April 24, 2026. The ten-week program runs from June 15 through August 20, 2026. Participants must be at least 16 years old by June 15 and are responsible for securing their own housing, as accommodations are not provided.

Ideal candidates bring a strong work ethic, a willingness to work as a team and an interest in caring for public lands. The work is physically demanding and may include lifting 30–40 pounds and hiking up to 15 miles in a day. The position pays $18 per hour, with a Monday through Thursday schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
