Snowmobiler killed in avalanche near Leidy

JACKSON HOLE, WYO –Teton County Search and Rescue was paged out at about 3:30pm on Sunday afternoon for a report of a major avalanche on Togwotee near Mt. Leidy.

The slide was triggered by a snowmobiler at about 10,103 feet. A 24-year-old male was buried and pronounced dead at the scene. No one in the group he was with had any avalanche rescue gear.
