YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — On Friday, June 27, Yellowstone National Park (YNP) shared on its social media channels that park staff and Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) teams have been hard at work upgrading its pedestrian boardwalks.

YNP wrote on Facebook that the outdated boardwalks have been replaced in some of the park’s most visited spots, including near Morning Glory Pool and Giant Geyser.

“These updates help protect fragile thermal areas and improve your experience on the trails,” YNP wrote.

According to the National Park Service, the YCC is a program that engages young people in meaningful work experiences at national parks, forests, wildlife refuges and fish hatcheries.

“If you see our crews out there, give them a wave and say hello!” YNP wrote.

YNP thanks visitors for their patience with the construction.
