Stay in the know.
JACKSON, Wyo. — We asked, and you answered! Thank you to Buckrail readers for sending in fantastic photos of local canines enjoying the dog days of summer.
The majority of photos we received featured pups beating the heat by enjoying local waterways, whether sitting on a paddleboard, captaining a boat or just splashing around. What a delight to see so many dogs in personal floatation devices.
Submissions are now closed, but stay tuned for another collection of reader-submitted dog photos coming soon.

Doug Cougar Mellencamp (large dog), Pancake (Chihuahua in orange PFD) and GiGi (brown dog in green PFD) enjoy a float on the river between Wilson and South Park. Photo: Courtney Marisa Neckels Watsabaugh“GiGi is available for adoption through the Animal Adoption Center,” Watsabaugh emailed. “GiGi is a very good little adventure dog looking for a home. Obviously she loves other dogs and would love some siblings of the human and dog variety!”
We even received a video of a classic summertime dog maneuver: the shake-off.
