JACKSON, Wyo. — Yesterday, Oct. 10, crews at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) installed lift towers on the new Thunder lift.

A helicopter was used to move the towers from a staging area near the base of the village to the tower locations.

According to JHMR, crews expect to finish installing and load testing the new Thunder lift this month. The speed of the new lift is 1,000 feet per minute, cutting riders’ times from seven minutes to just over three and a half minutes.
