JACKSON, Wyo. — The Snow King Sports and Events Center was buzzing with sights and sounds on Saturday as the 6th Annual Teton Powwow unfolded.
The celebration of the culture and traditions of Native Americans with ties to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem began with the grand entry at 11 a.m., when participants from all participating Tribes gathered for the opening ceremonial dance. Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer was there to capture the magic.

Following the grand entry, different dances were presented in categories delineated by age, gender and dance styles.
Observers filled the arena, situated both within the ice rink and in the bleachers.

Artisan booths dotted the perimeter of the rink, with craft vendors selling beadwork, jewelry, T-shirts and more.
Integral to the proceedings are the drum circle musicians, who provide the live accompaniment to the dancers. This year, the Fort Peck Sioux Singers filled the host drum role and the Little Brave Singers were named the local host drum.
Until next year, Teton Powwow!
