YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — While tourists flock every year to Yellowstone to see the thermal pools and wildlife, it’s not often one gets to see Yellowstone from above.

The National Park Service recently shared these absolutely stunning images of some iconic places in Yellowstone, but from a new perspective. Now, one can imagine how the belted kingfisher might see the park.

It’s the perfect time of year to visit Yellowstone to avoid crowds. Average visitation numbers to the national park in July averaged around 947,688 from 2014 to 2018, while the number of visitors in November during that same time frame was 14,323.
