JACKSON, Wyo. — An avalanche shut down Spring Gulch Road Tuesday afternoon at about 3 p.m., causing traffic delays in the area as crews worked to clear an estimated 15 feet of snow off the road.

Just before 7 p.m., the road reopened to traffic.
