GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — It’s locals’ season on Teton Park Road.
Visitors can enjoy walking or cycling through Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) when the roads are clear of snow but still closed to vehicles, a beloved springtime tradition. Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer rounded up a few pals to enjoy the opportunity last week.

The 14-mile section of Teton Park Road is open to nonmotorized use from the Taggart parking lot to Signal Mountain Lodge before it opens to vehicles on May 1.

Some days enjoying the car-free road will be sunny and springy, but winter weather tends to linger. Be prepared for precipitation when venturing out.

Whatever the weather brings, enjoy the scenery!
