Snow King has already begun construction activities, removing snow from the base of the mountain. According to the mountain, over the course of April, the Summit lift and Cougar lift will be disassembled. The Cougar lift is moving 250 feet up, to make room for the Gondola towers.

The Forest Service recently approved “Alternative 4” of the Snow King Mountain improvement plan. Aspects include a permit boundary adjustment, additional ski terrain development, a novice ski-way, and a summit access road, gondola, summit building, zip-line, and mountain bike trails.

Four aspects of the plan were not approved at the time. These elements include the yurt camp, eBikes on trails, a wedding venue, and a three-segment zipline.
