WILSON, Wyo. — Farewell, old Snake River Bridge!
The former span of the Snake River Bridge along WY22 is being demolished in stages now that the replacement structure has opened to traffic. Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer documented this phase of the project.

According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation, crews are dismantling and hauling away manageable sections of the deck to make sure nothing falls onto river users below.

Stacks of concrete slabs and piles of metal railings are visible to WY22 motorists.

Once the old structure has been completely removed, work can commence on another two lanes. For more information about the ongoing work at the WY22 and WY390 intersection and Snake River Bridge, see https://wy22wilsonsrb.com.
