JACKSON, Wyo. — Cold temperatures and precipitation are creating a real clash of the seasons here in Jackson, with snow dusting newly green trees and meadows on Thursday, May 23.
Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer snapped the scenery this morning.

Grand Teton National Park’s Surprise Meadow, elevation 9,580 feet, received 4 inches of new snow overnight, according to the Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center.

Buckrail Meteorologist Alan Smith had forecasted the snowy pattern. Smith noted that afternoon temps in the low to mid 40s, the expectations for Thursday afternoon, are about 20 degrees below average for this time of year. More precipitation is possible through the weekend, with the possibility of sun on Monday.
