ALTA, Wyo. — It’s opening day at Grand Targhee Resort! Lifts are spinning and skiers and riders are out relishing in a glorious bluebird day to kick off the 2022/23 winter season.
Two of the mountain’s five lifts were running today; Dreamcatcher and Shoshone. Blackfoot and Sacajawea open Saturday. Grand Targhee reported a 47-inch base, and 89 inches at the Chief Joseph plot when they spoke with Buckrail earlier this week.
“The weather cooperated with us this year and gave the Tetons solid coverage. We are excited to be able to open the majority of our lifts on opening weekend,” said Grand Targhee’s Director of Sales & Marketing Jill Gaylord.
