JACKSON, Wyo. — The new Stilson Transit Center, which broke ground in April 2025, is open for business and will be used as the official stop for START buses as of today after political leaders symbolically opened its doors at a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Senator John Barrasso, U.S. House Representative Harriet Hageman, Senator Mike Gierau and State Representative Mike Yin made an appearance alongside local leadership at the event.

Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners Mark Newcomb spoke first, lauding the project. “[It was built] under budget, on time, and it’s absolutely magnificent,” Newcomb commended.

Congresswoman Hageman also lauded the project, saying the center is “incredibly magnificent for [the Jackson] community.”

The new building has EV car charging stations, bicycle parking and e-bike charging stations, bathrooms and an indoor space with monitors intended to show schedules for buses and Teton Pass shuttles provided by the Teton Backcountry Alliance.
