JACKSON, Wyo. — Last Saturday, June 6, was Kids Fishing Day at R Park in Wilson. The event was hosted by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Jackson Hole Lions Club and Creekside Market.

Kids flocked on the sunny day to the park to learn about fishing, participate in a scavenger hunt and win prizes. Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer snapped some photos of the event.

Saturday was also Wyoming’s Free Fishing Day, which allows anyone statewide to fish without a license or conservation stamp.

The warm weather brought plenty of families to the park to try their luck. Educators were available throughout the day to provide tips and skills to the eager participants.
