JACKSON, Wyo. — Jackson’s Town Square hosted hundreds of protesters on Saturday, April 5, at a local edition of the “Hands Off!” nationwide demonstration.

Buckrail readers sent in photos and footage of the event, a response to cuts and policy changes implemented this year by President Trump and Elon Musk. According to the Associated Press, “Hands Off!” demonstrations took place at more than 1,200 locations, with representation in all 50 states.

Jackson’s demonstration hosted an estimated 300+ attendees, according to KHOL. In addition to bountiful protest signs, one group of musicians reworked the song “Ohio” by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young to fit the occasion. The classic protest song was originally written in response to the Kent State University shootings of 1970, when members of the Ohio National Guard shot and killed students at a Vietnam War protest.

Related events were held in Casper, Cheyenne, Cody, Lander, Laramie, Rock Springs and Sheridan, along with several other towns in Idaho, Montana and Utah. A similar event unfolded on Jackson’s Town Square in March.
