JACKSON, Wyo. — The improvement project at Granite Falls in Bridger-Teton National Forest is complete.

Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer visited the site to capture photos of the updated recreation area.

Site updates include repairs to the user-created parking lot, a redesign that designates the area for day use only, the creation of a separate area for trailers, restoration of eroded trails, a bypass trail for horses separate from that for hot spring visitors and the addition of interpretive signs.

The area remained open during construction, with some spots seeing temporary closures.

The road leading up to the Granite Falls area also had work done this summer. The first four miles of Granite Creek Road were reshaped and graded and saw drainage improvements.
