JACKSON, Wyo. — With the recent installation of chicane gate fencing in Russ Garaman Park, the pathway safety project is now complete.

The speed fencing is intended to slow down cyclists who enter the park by channeling riders into a small S-turn around the gates.

The improvements in Garaman Park were designed to naturally slow the speed of traffic in the busy corridor. According to the Town of Jackson, this segment of pathway saw over 102,000 bicycle trips and 32,000 pedestrian trips from June to September 2025.

The Garaman family’s charitable foundation supported the entire initiative, which was originally tallied at $213,696.
