JACKSON, Wyo. — Last year, Flatland Cavalry celebrated 10 years together. This year, they graced the summit stage at Snow King as part of the King Concert series.

On Sunday evening, concertgoers rode the gondola to the top of Snow King to watch and listen as the six-man band laid down their signature country sound, accompanied by Idaho’s own Colby Acuff. According to “Rolling Stone,” Flatland’s music is “easy on the ears, heavy on the heart.”

Coeur d’Alene native Acuff blends Americana and outlaw country, and has also toured with Muscadine Bloodline, Midland and Whiskey Myers.

Under the Teton sky, the Texas band filled the mountain air with bluegrass fiddle, guitar riffs and lyrics that tug on the heart strings.
