JACKSON, Wyo. — We are currently in the dog days of summer, the 20 days before and 20 days after the alignment of Sirius and the Sun and although the origin of the term doesn’t have much to do with dogs lying around in the summer heat, we love our furry friends at Buckrail

Janet Hawkins submitted these photos of her 10-month-old wirehaired pointing griffon, Pepper Lu Paloma, cooling off under the hose last weekend.

Temperatures are expected to climb again this weekend, with highs reaching the upper 80s on Friday and low 90s, Saturday through Monday, according to the recent weather report by Buckrail meteorologist Alan Smith.

Submit photos of your dogs during the dog days of summer for a chance to be featured in an upcoming SNAPPED, much like our powder hound series from the winter.
