JACKSON, Wyo. — The small brown motel building on the Teton Gables site is currently under demolition.
The nearly two-acre parcel on the corner of Highway 22 is owned by Gables Partners LLC. The plan following the demolition of the single-story brown structure is to develop a 26 unit apartment complex on the southern portion of the lot, which is currently a parking area. The project will participate in the workforce housing program. The total finished apartment square footage will be 18,776.
There are no plans to demolish the larger L-shaped Motel.

According to one of the owners, Hunter McCardle, The famous neon Teton Gables Motel sign has been restored and will stay in place on the property.
The demolition permit was approved on Oct. 13.
