JACKSON, Wyo. — What’s that soft pink light in the distance?
A new interactive public art installation has taken up residence at the Center for the Arts Park. Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer stopped by to check out “The Cloud Swings,” a piece by artist Lindsay Glatz with collective Curious Form.

The piece has appeared elsewhere over the past few years, including stints at Burning Man and in Washington, D.C., Toronto and more. According to Jackson Hole Public Art, the swings will be on display in Jackson until Feb. 21, 2025.

Glowing cloud structures include playground-style swings suspended below.

“If a swing is unoccupied, the cloud above remains a steady glow, which shines downward and illuminates the empty swing as an invitation to passersby,” Jackson Hole Public Art writes in its announcement of the installation. “Once someone begins to swing, the transformation begins and the steady glow is replaced by vibrant colors that become more saturated as the swing moves faster. The goal of the Cloud Swing is to provide a sense of nostalgic joy and connect participants to childhood delights and the wonders of simple play.”
