JACKSON, Wyo. — Now that the valley has received its first proper dusting of snow, it’s time to make sure the winter gear quiver is ready at a moment’s notice. The annual Ski and Gear Swap took place on Saturday, Oct. 25, and good deals were waiting for anyone with a little patience.

Hosted by the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club, the Ski Swap is an offseason staple event in Jackson. It is one of the first markers of the change in seasons, and attendees line up hours in advance to guarantee a wide selection when they enter the Teton County Fairgrounds Heritage Arena.

The swap is a great place to sell used gear or buy a new-to-you pair of planks. For a beginner interested in attempting a new sport, or for kids who outgrow gear in one season, the expansive options are sure to provide solutions.

As a fundraiser for the Ski & Snowboard Club athletes, the Ski Swap typically offers an array of equipment for sale including alpine, backcountry, freeski, Nordic and snowboard gear, as well as helmets, jackets, snow pants and various boots.
