JACKSON, Wyo. — St. John’s Health (SJH) has released its 2023 Strategic Plan and according to the hospital, The board of trustees is expected to approve the plan at the Dec. 7 meeting.
The goal is to “sustainably advance SJH as the first choice for primary care and appropriate specialty care in our community,” according to the strategic plan.
The strategic plan outlines a number of key initiatives, including implementing patient self-service tools and patient navigators, investing in housing for key staff near Jackson, expanding oncology capabilities, recruiting a third general surgeon and hiring a gastroenterologist.
The implementation of initiatives is outlined in a timeline through 2026.

SJH CEO Jeff Sollis presented the plan at the SJH Board of Trustees meeting this month.
“While challenges are always present in running a health care organization, SJH is in good shape thanks to excellent board governance, a talented and committed staff and extraordinary community support,” Sollis said. “Being in such a position will allow us to continue to make significant investments in our patients, our people, our facilities and our equipment.”
