JACKSON, Wyo. — A semi-truck drove through the Gros Ventre roundabout on N Highway 89 last night and closed the road for several hours.

The driver was heading north at around 11 p.m. yesterday, according to Grand Teton National Park Public Affairs Officer Denise German.

Witnesses reported serious damage to the roundabout, but just how much is under investigation.

“The trailer went directly through the roundabout,” German said.

The driver was uninjured. GTNP is leading the investigation.

The accident was the second involving a semi-truck on the same road yesterday. Another semi went off the road yesterday afternoon. German said both are good reminders to “drive according to conditions.” Winter roads are slippery and can be dangerous. Pay attention and slow down.
