JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Health Department’s (TCHD) seasonal vaccine clinic will open for appointments on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The clinic will provide updated Covid-19 vaccines as well as high-dose and regular flu vaccines.

Appointments will be available for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., with Tuesdays and Thursdays assigned to individuals over the age of 12 and Wednesdays assigned to children between ages six months and 11 years old. Participants can choose to get both flu and Covid vaccines at the same appointment or can make separate appointments for each.

TCHD said it will not be allowing individuals to select the brand of Covid vaccine due to supply allocations. High-dose flu shots will be available only for those ages 65 and up. TCHD notes that this year’s flu vaccine is trivalent, designed to protect against three different flu viruses.

Free vaccines will be available for those without insurance, those who are underinsured and children with WY Medicaid, but supplies are limited, TCHD said. See the TCHD website for information regarding insurance.

“The best way to reduce your risk and the potentially serious complications of Covid-19 and the flu is to get vaccinated every year,” TCHD said in its announcement.

Book an appointment at www.tetoncountywy.gov/SeasonalVax. This year, parents can book an appointment for a child under 12 and then add up to four additional family members (of any age) to that same appointment.

“We hope this new system ensures families can easily vaccinate all their family members at one appointment,” TCHD said in its announcement.

The clinic is located in the Target Plaza between Subway and Glamour Nails. Questions? Call the hotline at (307) 732-8628.
