Season of (Old Bill’s) giving in swing

JACKSON, WY — The 2019 giving season for Old Bill’s started yesterday, and donors have just under a month and a half to get their donations in and support their favorite nonprofits.

Giving season ends September 13 at 5 p.m. From today until then, anyone with a dollar to spare can donate it to a nonprofit (or nonprofits) of their choosing through The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole/Old Bill’s, and as many c0-challengers as are willing will match the donations.

Every year, Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill donate $500,000. Co-challengers can give at levels of $25,000, $35,000, $50,000, $75,000, $100,000, $150,000 and $250,000. All of that funding means that each individual donation, be it $1 or $500, grows into something even bigger. Since the Old Bill’s began in 1997, the event has raised over $159 million for local nonprofits.

Of course, the season of giving culminates in the annual Old Bill’s Fun Run, scheduled for September 7 this year.

Nonprofits can still apply to be part of Old Bill’s until August 5, but will not be included in Old Bill’s marketing. Learn more about Old Bill’s and how to donate on the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole’s website.
