JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Search and Rescue teamed up with Teton County Idaho Search and Rescue last night to rescue an injured snowmobiler.

Volunteers were called the evening of March 24 to help a young male snowmobiler who had suffered severe injuries after hitting a tree near the Wyoming/Idaho border. Idaho Search and Rescue volunteers went to the scene and began assessing the patient. Meanwhile, TCSAR sent four team members to the scene on snowmobiles.

The patient’s injuries were serious enough for volunteers to request a helicopter. TCSAR’s short-haul helicopter left the hangar just before 6 p.m. The patient was in an ambulance by 6:51 p.m.

“Thanks to the partnership with TCSAR Idaho for helping out on a successful mission,” TCSAR said on Facebook. “We wish the young snowmobiler a quick and full recovery.”
