JACKSON, Wyo. — Yesterday, at 11:42 a.m. Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) volunteers were paged to respond to a skier at Chiver’s Ridge on Teton Pass.

“He hit a guidewire coming off a powerline on Chiver’s,” said TCSAR Chief Advisor Cody Lockhart.

The victim, a 29-year-old male, sustained significant but non-life-threatening injuries.

After being called out, SAR members arrived via helicopter, started providing medical care, packaged the victim up, then short hauled him to the overflow parking lot on the Pass where he was put into an ambulance.

The man was then transported to St. John’s Health for further medical care.
