JACKSON, Wyo. — The hits just keep coming as Teton County Search and Rescue was called out again Tuesday evening for another horse accident.

A man injured his back after falling off his horse in the Pacific Creek area. Search and Rescue responded with four teams utilizing the SAR truck, RZR side-by-side, and two ground units with a wheeled litter.

After locating the patient, the team packaged him up and placed him in the wheeled litter. As severe weather approached, the volunteers wheeled the man about three-quarters of a mile—a trip that included a shallow river crossing, to a waiting ambulance. With 24 team members involved, the mission came to a completion in 3 hours and 19 minutes.
