JACKSON, Wyo. — The JH RoboBroncs FIRST Team #3374 stepped it up this month when asked to assist the Jackson Hole High School Key Club in wrangling mittens for elementary kids at the Wyoming Indian Elementary School.
Mark Pommer, leader of the Key Club at JHHS, recently led a group of students to help out at the Wyoming Indian Elementary School. After witnessing the joy of children playing outside he noticed a major problem: few kids had appropriate winter clothes, and almost none of them had mittens to play outside in. Pommer asked the JH RoboBroncs if they could help.
Over the course of two weeks, the JH RoboBroncs FIRST Team #3374 led a “Winter Mittens Drive” collecting 171 pairs of gloves, 12 boots, 55 hats, nine face covers/scarves, and 31 jackets.
“We thank all the RoboBronc students and families who donated and participated in this drive towards spreading the holiday spirit to our neighbors in Wind River,” Pommer said.
