JACKSON, Wyo. — Roadhouse Brewing Co. and Patagonia Provisions have joined forces to create Kernza Lager, a collaboration beer brewed with all-organic ingredients. The launch of the beer will be celebrated from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12 at Roadhouse Pub & Eatery.

Monday’s beer launch event will include giveaways, a meet and greet, discussion around the two organizations’ environmental efforts and, of course, plenty of Kernza Lager. The event is open to the public and all are encouraged to stop by.

The partnership between Roadhouse and Patagonia Provisions began this year with the creation of Kernza Lager.  Roadhouse’s focus on sustainability in the brewing industry made for a good match with Patagonia Provisions, the food and beverage division of outdoor apparel and gear company Patagonia.

Kernza Lager is brewed with all-organic ingredients, including organic barley from Great Western, organic New Zealand hops and certified organic Kernza. Kernza, a deeply-rooted regenerative perennial grain, stabilizes soil, requires minimal tilling, increases soil organic matter and improves soil structure and water-holding capacity. Patagonia Provisions is confident ongoing research will confirm the grain’s ability to draw down and store more carbon in the soil than annual grains. When used in beer, it adds a deliciously rich but subtle nutty flavor.

“At Roadhouse, we’ve always believed in the power of great beer to bring people together while making a positive impact on the planet,” notes Roadhouse and Pure Madness co-founder Gavin Fine. “Teaming up with Patagonia Provisions allows us to further that mission by showcasing the potential of regenerative agriculture and highlighting the urgent need for sustainable practices in the brewing industry.”

To taste the beer, learn more about their environmental efforts, chat with both teams and win giveaways, don’t miss the Kernza Lager launch event on Monday, Aug. 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roadhouse Pub & Eatery.
