JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Work on Highway 390 (Teton Village Road) has been re-scheduled to begin tonight.
Milling work will start at the intersection of Wyo22. Delays will be longer and more prominent at the beginning of the shift, around 7pm. During the milling and paving operations, flaggers will control the work zone ends and driveways to keep people safe.
Also, the paving of the approaches for the Cattleman’s Bridge was originally scheduled to be finished this week. However, due to local material demands, supply is limited and the paving was pushed back. It is now scheduled for this week. But again, with only one local asphalt supplier and all the scheduled construction, this date could move again. The larger projects are taking precedence.
There will be intermittent lane closures once paving is completed during the removal of the detour bridge and when they install guardrail. Along with the paving, work on the guardrail, fencing and reclamation is yet to be completed on the Cattleman’s Bridge project. The project completion date is October 31, 2018.
The project on WYO 390 is a road resurfacing contract on 8 miles of WYO 390 between Wilson and Teton National Park. The contract has required that most of the work be performed at night, to minimize traffic disruptions. The contract completion date is Oct. 31, 2018. H-K Contractors, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, was awarded the $3.4 million contract in March of this year.
