Road construction will chill for holiday weekend, hot springs open Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Headed south this weekend? We have two pieces of good news.

First, WYDOT says Wadsworth will take a break for the Memorial Day weekend. Work on the S Highway 89 (Snake River North Section) will be suspended over the holiday weekend on the section of roadwork about 4.5 miles south of Jackson.

The gravel detour will be paved and all traffic will enjoy paved surfaces for the weekend. Work will resume Tuesday morning.

Granite Hot Springs pool (BTNF)

Secondly, Bridger-Teton National Forest announced it is ready to open the popular soak spot in Granite Hot Springs.

According to the Jackson Ranger District, Granite Hot Springs will open Saturday, Sunday, and Monday this holiday weekend. After Monday, it will close again for final repairs. One loop of the Granite Creek Campground is now snow-free and available on first-come, first-served basis.
