JACKSON, Wyo. — On Sunday, Nov. 1, Riot Act, Inc. will present select plays from “Women+ On The Edge of Democracy.” The free performance starts at 2 p.m. Riot Act’s Studio 305 in the Center for the Arts.

“Women+ On The Edge of Democracy” is an anthology of short plays by 36 playwrights, created to spark conversation about the state of American democracy.

The initiative was launched by the Flynn Center in Vermont — led by its executive director Jay Wahl — and The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, led by executive director Leslie Swackhamer. The Blackburn Prize is an annual award that honors women+ playwrights.

Those interested in attending can RSVP here.

Hannah is a Buckrail Staff Reporter and freelance web developer and designer who has called Jackson home since 2015. When she’s not outside, you can probably find her eating a good meal, playing cribbage, or at one of the local yoga studios. She’s interested in what makes this community tick, both from the individual and collective perspective.
