JACKSON, Wyo. — Don’t be fooled by the whimsical name. Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners have sold out most of their current tour and turning heads across the country. The Colorado to Montana to Washington-based folk rock band grabbed a recent headline in the Seattle Times, “Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners are Seattle’s next breakout band.” They take stage at the Center Theater on Tuesday, March 18.
From releasing their eponymous debut in 2017 on their high school graduation day to over 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify, being a TikTok sensation and festivals like Lollapalooza, the trio—Mitch Cutts, Nic Haughn and Jakob Ervin—blend folk songwriting with rock n’ roll energy. They just dropped a much-anticipated fourth LP, “Colorado’s On Fire Again,” a completely independent release that was self-produced, self-mixed and self-mastered. See what the buzz is about on their “Après-ski Tour ’25.”
The Center Presents Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners with guest Briscoe, 7 p.m. on Tuesday March 18. $23-$43. JHCenterForTheArts.org.
