JACKSON, WY — Teton County Search and Rescue and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Mountain Patrol are working on evacuating an injured skier from Cody Peak.

Search and Rescue responded to a call at 10:47 a.m. May 29. A young man in his 20s slipped on ice and sustained some pretty serious lower leg injuries, said Sheriff Matt Carr. He’s on the West side of Cody Peak on the back side of Pucker Face, but rescuers will have to move him about a half a mile so a helicopter can reach him safely.

This is a developing story. Buckrail will update with more info as it becomes available.
