DRIGGS, Idaho — Remy Coste has won the 2024 Pedigree Stage Stop Race with his team of sled dogs after completing all seven races in a cumulative time of 13 hours, 34 minutes and 24 seconds.
Returning five-time Stage Stop champion Anny Malo finished in second place with a total time of 13 hours, 44 minutes and 37 seconds. Malo beat Coste in both the Lander and Driggs legs of the event.

Fifteen sled teams — representing the U.S., Canada, Germany and France — competed for a first-place prize of more than $25,000. Festivities kicked off on Jackson’s Town Square on Friday, Jan. 26, the first of seven contests taking place in the seven mountain ranges in western Wyoming and Idaho. The teams covered between 30 and 35 miles per day on out-and-back courses.
Coste, based in France, was a first-time participant in the Stage Stop race. Before becoming a musher in 2012 with his partner, Aurelie Delattre, he was a highly decorated baker in France, earning the designation of Meilleur Ouvrier de France. Coste and Delattre trained dogs in Sweden for seven years and competed in European mid-distance races.
