JACKSON, Wyo. — The general election is almost here! The polls will close on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
County Clerk Maureen Murphy told Buckrail on Monday morning that she highly encourages people to vote at one of the five vote centers.
“We are above a 55% turnout as of this morning and the line for early voting today will probably average 45 minutes to an hour. It’s been really busy!” Murphy said.
Wyoming statute dictates that voters are entitled to one hour of paid leave on Election Day to visit the polls, under most circumstances. Check with employers before making voting arrangements, if necessary.
In anticipation of long lines, be sure to allow for extra time when going to vote. Buckrail is reminding community members that they can cast their vote at one of these polling locations:
